4. No, it is not ethically acceptable to change a person's appearance because it makes women feel like they have to look perfect to be beautiful. Changes like these are what makes the perception of beauty in our society so distorted.
5. I think that this type of photo manipulation should never be used but there is some circumstances in which it's even more ethnically wrong than it already is. For example, taking photos of people from other countries or ethnicity's and making them look completely different.
6. The types of changes that are okay are the ones that don't change the way they look or their body. For example, fixing a piece of hair that got in the way.
7. The difference between photojournalism and fashion photography is that photojournalism is more in the moment. A photojournalists job is to tell a story while a fashion photographer's is to model something. Fashion photography is more behind the scenes.
8. Each type of photography has a relationship to reality that affects their ethical practice. Photojournalism's relationship to reality is that it captures stories of real life and things that are actually happening in today's world. Photojournalism is ver real and in the moment. Fashion photography has a relationship to reality because the photos are everywhere from magazines to billboards and it's the manipulated photos that change people's perception of beauty because they aren't realistic.
9. I think that we watched these videos to realize what damage photo manipulation can do. It reminds us of why we don't use the tools they used to completely change photos/people into something they're not.
10. I think that none of these videos were about guys because women have so much pressure and are subjected to looking a certain way to be classified as beautiful which is a problem.
