I chose this photo because I love what it represents. These two men traded jerseys as a sign of respect during the World Cup which was marred by racism. This photo caught my eye because of the brightness and warmth of the photo and how much respect they have for each other is displayed. This photo made the cut for the top 40 best pictures because of how moving it is and it shows how much the world has changed.  Also, the quality of the photo is great.

I chose this photo because its very touching and sweet. This mother served 7 months in Iraq and finally got to come home and see her daughter. This photo caught my eye because the timing of this picture is incredible, how relieved the mother looks and the way she just fell onto the ground to hug her daughter. This photo made the cut for the top 40 best pictures because many people can relate to having their loved ones away and finally getting to see them again. Also, because its a great quality photograph in general.

I chose this photo because when I first saw it I felt happy and its so inspiring. These two women became the first same-sex couple to get married in Manhattan City. This is my favorite picture because it shows equality and I hope that one day it will be like this all over the world. There is just so much joy and love in this picture and its truly admirable. This photo caught my eye because I love how content they look and how they.re hugging. This photo made the top 40 best photos because of how beautiful it is. The color of their shirts also made the picture stand out and the photographer captured this moment at the perfect time.
